Company History

Universal Ambulance is a privately-held, family-owned and operated Life Support Agency. Founded in Detroit, Michigan in the 1950s, Universal Ambulance has served residents, municipalities, hospitals, and patient care facilities, as well as the finest and most prestigious institutions throughout Macomb County, Oakland County and Wayne County for over 68 years.

Throughout our company’s history, Universal Ambulance has provided ambulance and emergency medical services to the communities of Center Line, Warren, Sterling Heights, Troy, Clawson, Oak Park, Berkley, Beverly Hills, Huntington Woods, and Royal Oak Township.  Universal Ambulance is also a proud contributor to the City of Detroit’s emergency medical services. We have provided onsite medical services to the Detroit Athletic Club, Detroit City Football Club, Detroit Zoo, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Ilitch Sports & Entertainment, Detroit Grand Prix, Detroit ABPA Hydroplane Races, Troy Public Schools, Detroit Public Schools, Detroit Fireworks, Fox Theatre, Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, and the Pine Knob Music Theatre. We continue to serve our local communities proudly, including Macomb, Wayne and Oakland counties.
